Should Democrats Vote for Bush?

Unlike just four years ago, Democrats are crossing party lines to vote for Bush.

Why? Check out the links below:

Pro-choice feminist Tammy Bruce on "Why Democrats Should Vote for Bush".* In addition to expressing her confidence in President Bush to provide the best protection against further terrorism, she also says this:

I voted for President Bush because he has freed 50 million people, 25 million of which are women and girls. The feminist establishment, in a shameful exhibit of their hypocrisy, has ignored that fact. As a feminist, I thank the president with my vote, in solidarity with the millions of Afghan and Iraqi women who now, courtesy of the president and our astounding military, finally have hope, liberty and freedom.
Lifelong Democrat Ed Koch had this to say in his Boston Globe interview:
But hasn't Kerry pledged to stay in Iraq and to go after the terrorists? "That's what he says to appeal to moderates and conservatives during the campaign," Koch replies. But the party activists who nominated him would compel him to back down once he was in office. The people now running the Democratic Party want no part of the war, and "when the chips are down, Kerry will do what they want."
Democratic Senator Zell Miller of Georgia also broke away from the party line to back the President:
For more than 20 years, on every one of the great issues of freedom and security, John Kerry has been more wrong, more weak and more wobbly than any other national figure.

As a war protester, Kerry blamed our military.

As a senator, he voted to weaken our military. And nothing shows that more sadly and more clearly than his vote this year to deny protective armor for our troops in harm's way, far away.

George W. Bush understands that we need new strategies to meet new threats.

John Kerry wants to refight yesterday's war. President Bush believes we have to fight today's war and be ready for tomorrow's challenges. President Bush is committed to providing the kind of forces it takes to root out terrorists, no matter what spider hole they may hide in or what rock they crawl under.

George W. Bush wants to grab terrorists by the throat and not let them go to get a better grip.

From John Kerry, they get a "yes/no/maybe" bowl of mush that can only encourage our enemies and confuse our friends.

While many today are criticizing the President's wartime actions, these and other Democrats are galvanized by George W. Bush's leadership in a time of terrorism. They've seen President Bush in action, and knowing the alternative -- despite strong disagreements on other issues -- they've decided that Bush is the best candidate to protect our nation.

Which is more important - the Party or the Country?

Will you cross party lines, too?
